<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <a href="https://velocio.cc/collections/trail/products/trail-glove">Velocio Trail gloves</a> ($79) are an off-road, full-fingered cycling glove that is equal parts heavy on the mesh for enhanced ventilation and optimal padding to absorb bumps and vibrations on the trail. </p>

<p><span id="more-2192"></span></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What I Liked</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Comfortable</em>. Good cycling gloves improve your grip on the handlebars, reduce blisters, absorb bumps and shocks and offer protection during a crash. They should never feel like you’re wearing a baseball glove. The Velocio Trail gloves feel don’t feel like gloves at all. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="500" height="281" src="https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190901_114604474.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2195" srcset="https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190901_114604474.jpg 500w, https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190901_114604474-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /><figcaption> Velocio Trail Gloves riding the Canadian Shield trail near Grand Marais, MN </figcaption></figure></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Shock absorption</em> <em>and ventilation</em>. Patches of reinforced synethic mircosuede on the upper and lower palm work amazingly (shockingly, actually) well in absorbing bumps on long and technical trails. For ventilation, they have a series of air holes that allow moisture to escape, as well as stitched fingers in the tips that allow air in. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img decoding="async" width="500" height="281" src="https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190908_151837532.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2197" srcset="https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190908_151837532.jpg 500w, https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190908_151837532-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /><figcaption>Microsuede pads at the top and bottom of palm for shock absorption and air holes for ventilation</figcaption></figure></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Outstanding fit. </em>I wear a women&#8217;s size small in gloves and the Velocio Trail women&#8217;s size small provides an outstanding fit. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Strapless design.</em> I&#8217;ve worn gloves for years that have a velcro strap to ensure that perfect fit. But I love that the Velocio Trail Gloves are a pull-them-on-and-go design. Once pulled on they remain snug, secure and very comfortable. Removing them is just as fast and easy.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What I didn’t
Like</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Stitching in the fingertips introduces a potential failure point.</em> All my
full-fingered gloves are seamless in the fingertips. Because of this I don’t
have to worry about my longer fingernails eventually piercing the threads. If
you have chewed-down fingernails, or habitually keep them short, this won’t be
an issue.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img decoding="async" width="500" height="281" src="https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190908_140434909.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2196" srcset="https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190908_140434909.jpg 500w, https://gritandgearonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/IMG_20190908_140434909-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /><figcaption>The stitching at the fingertips do well for airflow but introduce a point of failure, especially if you have long nails</figcaption></figure></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Price</em>. At $79, they&#8217;re expensive. The most expensive I have ever worn. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Final Thoughts</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Despite the stitching in the fingertips, these are phenomenal
gloves. The grip is excellent, even on wet handle bars and are easy to remove
after a long sweaty ride. They really are the best fitting, best feeling biking
glove I’ve ever used.</p>
